In addition Michael is certified to practice before The United States District Court, and The United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
As an attorney, Michael currently practices in the areas of Trusts and Wills, Estate Planning, Real Estate and Business.
An effective Estate Planning attorney needs to have a solid background in all three of these areas. Proper estate planning requires an attorney to look, not just at a client’s trust and wills, but also at their business interests and finances, including real estate and other investments in order to have a complete picture to help his client make the critical decisions facing them and their families.
Michael Perdue has prepared and reviewed over a thousand trusts and has had extensive experience in administering trusts and estates, guiding his clients though the difficult trials of illness and death. He has formed and advised dozens of business entities and guided his clients through many real estate transactions.
Michael also has a unique perspective in that in the past he has also been an accomplished litigator involved with a variety of litigations including the Erin Brockovich case, a Montana Indian tribe, the California Department of Forestry, and was successful in ousting the majority shareholder of a publicly traded company from the CEO position. His proudest court moment was arguing and winning a modification of a California law on U.S. Constitutional equal protection grounds.
This breadth of experience helps to insure your estate plan will meet the needs of your family.
Michael is a frequent lecturer and has conducted informational seminars for Home Savings of America, Merrill Lynch, The Principal Group, Edward Jones, The American Association of Retired Persons, The Retired Teacher's Association, Retired County Employees Association, Kiwanis, Rotary, Optimists, Lions, and a variety of Chambers of Commerce and other groups and organizations.
Michael is a published author, his book, "Ocean Lessons for Business and Life" is an entrepreneurs guide to success in business.
As a volunteer, he has coached 17 youth soccer teams and has been a Scout Master and Scouting Assistant District Commissioner, and has been the head of charitable organizations that provide scholarships to kids and help to the severely disabled. Michael was active in the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce and in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for which he served a two year mission in Japan. Mike enjoys time with family and friends, sailing, travel, and helping people to find solutions to their problems.
